LIVING WAGE POLICY 2023

Our Commitment

We are committed to being a Living Wage Employer.

The Living Wage is a rate of pay per hour, enough to ensure workers and their families can live free from poverty.

How much will Strawberry Green Productions pay?

We will pay the UK Living Wage outside of London per hour as calculated annually by the Resolution Foundation and overseen by the Living Wage Commission, based on the best available evidence about living standards in London and the UK.

What will Strawberry Green Productions do as a Living Wage Employer?

  • We will ensure all employees are paid the Living Wage (this includes apprentices but excludes internships)
  • We will pay all our contracted free-lance staff the Living Wage
  • We will increase the Living Wage paid if amended nationally (subject to budget) and implement it as soon as possible.
  • We will aim to encourage and promote on a case-by-case basis that all employees of contractors working on production contracts be paid the Living Wage
  • A qualifying production contract will involve an employee of the contractor forming part of the project production team (on/off Strawberry Green Production premises).

Responsibility

All Producers/Creative Directors/Directors will be advised of qualifying productions in their area of responsibility.

Benefits of being a Living Wage Employer

  • We strive to make our industry a better workplace and view the payment of a Living Wage as positively impacting the delivery of production services and economic and social benefits.
  • We are committed to providing better quality value-for-money services and feel the payment of a Living Wage can contribute to this goal.

Promotion of the Living Wage

We will actively promote and encourage the payment of the Living Wage in our industry.

Policy Review

The Policy to be reviewed bi-annually/monitoring the policy as required in individual situations will be the responsibility of the respective production producer/decision-making team.

MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires some UK businesses to publish a statement describing the activities they are undertaking to prevent slavery and human trafficking in their own business operations and supply chain.

Strawberry Green Productions is committed to ensuring modern slavery does not exist in the business or associated supply chain. We will endeavour to provide policies and procedures to safeguard the provision of our services and goods.

  • We have had no reports of modern slavery within Strawberry Green Productions or its associated supply chain.
  • We are committed to keeping all our people and anyone who comes into contact with Strawberry Green Productions safe from harm and abuse.

Supply chain

Strawberry Green Productions aims to regularly review procedures to manage its supply chain to mitigate modern slavery risks. To that end, raising awareness of all involved in our productions and delivering services and goods sourced and supplied will be the responsibility of the Producers/Creative Directors/Directors.

Eligibility to work in the UK

Contractors and agency staff undergo an eligibility check before commencing work with Strawberry Green Productions.  Strawberry Green Productions also seeks volunteers' confirmation that they are eligible to work in the UK.

Approved and signed on its behalf by Andrew Brewerton, Managing Director

Strawberry Green Productions 2023.
